Martyn passed away in Nov. 2000 in The Dalles, Oregon. He and his girlfriend had moved there from Ohio in 1993 to go into business with his brother, but the arrangement did not succeed. His brother, Jim, who was 17 years older than Martyn, died earlier that year.
